Welcome to Tiglio

The farm was built in 1858 and changed hands several times over the years. 1939 The German-Italian pact on the transfer of South Tyroleans to the Reich was signed. The South Tyroleans could opt for German citizenship with the obligation of expatriation, or for the maintenance of Italian citizenship, renouncing any right to protect their ethnic character. Thus the previous owners of the Lindenwirt emigrated to Germany and Franz Reifer bought the farm from the Italian state in 1956.

Franz and his wife Marianne had a few cows and chickens and ran the farm together with a tavern. In 2001, his son Philipp took over the farm, left the dairy business and turned to berries.

Strawberries, raspberries, blueberries and even cherries are grown on an area of three hectares. In addition to the daily work on the farm, Philipp is also working as a house painter. In 2016 the house was completely renovated and the family now lives in the new attic. We have also opened our farm shop, where you can buy fresh fruit and vegetables and typical products from the farms.
