Way of St James

The Way of St. James in South Tyrol is part of the famous European pilgrimage route to the Spanish city of Santiago de Compostela.

A special kind of pilgrimage is the Via di San Giacomo, which extends from Alta Pusteria to the Brenner Pass. The Via di San Giacomo is divided into 6 stages and each of them presents very interesting Christian and secular testimonies of history and of the present. A piece of South Tyrolean nature and culture can be discovered along this route. There are numerous places to stop for refreshments and overnight stays in the cities visited.
